Sponsored by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP) is a dental and vision care program available to federal employees, certain retired uniformed servicemembers, and active-duty family members. This year, the program’s open enrollment period takes place from November 13 to December 11, 2023. During this time, you can enroll in the program or make changes to your existing account.
To discuss FEDVIP’s current Open Enrollment and available options, Sarah Bumgardner, AAFMAA Director of Partnerships and Member Engagement, spoke with Amy Marotto, AAFMAA Member Benefits Team Lead. Marotto is responsible for training AAFMAA’s Member Benefits team on military, government, and survivor benefits. Prior to joining AAFMAA, Marotto was an educator for 20 years after receiving a MS in Education from Stephen F. Austin State University and a BS in Education from the University of North Texas. Marotto is married to an active-duty U.S. Army officer, and they are stationed at Fort Cavazos in Texas.
