Local military families and community partners will have an opportunity to meet team members at a ribbon-cutting event that will feature AAFMAA Mortgage Services LLC executives and community partners.
VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA – AAFMAA Mortgage Services LLC (AMS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the American Armed Forces Mutual Aid Association (AAFMAA), the longest standing non-profit member-owned association dedicated to serving the military community, is announcing the grand opening of a new branch location at 291 Independence Blvd, Suite 240, Virginia Beach, VA 23462, at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2019.
Virginia is one of 19 states where AMS currently offers servicemembers and Veterans low-rate and low-cost mortgages to build, buy, or refinance a home. The opening of this office follows the establishment of an AMS branch in Wilmington, NC last month and showcases the AMS team’s continued commitment to serving the needs of military families at the local level by engaging with homebuilders, Realtors® and community leaders.
“At AAFMAA Mortgage Services, we’re uniquely-qualified to help servicemembers and Veterans through the homebuying process,” said Chip Briggs, Branch Manager of the AMS Virginia Beach office. “Establishing local branches enables us to understand the unique needs of a community. To celebrate the grand opening of the new branch location, AMS will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony and reception on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. The ceremony will include remarks from:
- Dennis Fewell – A retired Army First Lieutenant, Navy Commander and Veteran of the Vietnam War who currently supports local troops as a community leader involved with the Virginia Beach Kiwannis Club
- Chip Briggs – Branch Manager, AAFMAA Mortgage Services
- Jim Malley – President, AAFMAA Mortgage Services
Following the ribbon-cutting will be a reception, catered by E.A.T.S Catering, a meet and greet, and a tour of the new facility. Military families, local real estate and homebuilding professionals and media are encouraged to attend and meet the AMS team to learn more about mortgage products and services made for the military community in Virginia.
