Twelve Million Plus proudly promotes itself as the first, verified, digital community exclusively by and for military spouses. It enables its potential 12 million members — military spouses of Active Duty, Reserve, and Veteran servicemembers from around country and the world — to connect with each other and discuss issues relevant to their lives. Additionally, the community provides access to webinars, podcasts, entertainment, and information specifically curated for military spouses.
Sarah Bumgardner, AAFMAA Director of Partnerships and Member Engagement, spoke with Kate Williams, Community Initiative Program Manager at Twelve Million Plus, to learn more about how the app supports military spouses. Williams is a veteran spouse, a mom of five and an experienced entrepreneur. During the past 15 years, she and her family made nine PCS moves to three countries. At the same time, she worked remotely in international business, technology, and community development. She believes that being a military spouse can be someone’s greatest asset when supported with the right community.
For a military spouse to join the Twelve Million Plus app, verification is required through ID.me. This ensures that all members are who they say they are, so that they feel confident in the interactions they have with others in the community.
